When is your 20 week/Big Scan date?

Hey ladies,

I have my BIG Scan on the 5th March (22 days to go!!)....I cant wait I was just wondering is there anyone else counting down the days!!

I go to my doctor on Feb. 19th (to hear baby's heartbeat) and at that time they will schedule my first scan, which will probably be mid-March.

I don't get too many pregnancy symptoms other than tiredness and hunger, so often I just don't feel pregnant. This will ease my mind

My 20 week scan is already booked for 3rd April! It's a long way away and I'm counting the days until the 16wk appointment and hearing the heartbeat again, but after that I think I'll be counting the days until 3rd April.

Vickie, your avatar suggests you may have already had a scan? Was it a 12 week scan?

If so, what the heck is up with BC and only giving one scan? LOL

Thank goodness there are private scan clinics out there that I plan to utilize when I am around 25 weeks.

Wednesday. I had one on friday, but it was not a diagnostic scan, so the Dr. refered me to a doc who does them. Since I am using a midwife, she waits till after 24 weeks for a scan.

The scan was actually done at 13 weeks, shocked me that my OB sent me for it (it was a dating scan she said) because I wasn't expecting anything until 20 weeks!

Hmm, interesting

I am not 100% positive on my due date and my doctor just said that it would be found out with my first scan....in MARCH. LOL

Pregnancy sure tries one's patience

I honestly didn't think I'd get an earlier scan because I turned down all the triple testing and my GP never mentioned it. Went to my OB at 13 weeks and she said oh we still want to send you for a dating scan Actually got to go in that day.

Another thing, I don't start seeing my gynecologist for awhile either. If I recall, the visits start after the first and only ultrasound.

For whatever reasons they do things differently in different areas of Canada, I've talked to some girls (also in Ontario, but not Toronto) that won't see an OB until the third trimester....not sure why it varies so much from place to place.

We get our scan on the 22nd, if baby cooperates, we will get to find out the sex too. We can't wait, we're so excited. The anticipation is killing me.
