When should I start Clomid?

I have an appointment to discuss clomid, The doctor said "Come back in two months and we will get the clomid started" She gave me birth control to get my hormones in line, which I need to take for 2 months. My appointment is on October 4th and my cycle should begin on October 9th. Will she give it to me at that appointment or make me wait? I rarely have a cycle on my own, so shouldn't she give it to me when she knows I am about to have a period?

She probably will give you Clomid on that appointment. If not, don't worry there are pills that bring on AF (Provera). I was prescribed Provera then Clomid. Good luck

I am hoping she will just give it to me then. I just stopped taking provera, today was the first day of bleeding. I will start my birth control tomorrow. I am so excited to think my chances of getting pregnant are about to get better!

I would imagine she will give you clomid when you have your appointment, it would make sense anyway when you are due 5 days later after your appointment. Best of luck to you x

I would say she'll give you Clomid to start after your cycle begins on the 9th. Ive heard about this approach before - first, you are put on 2 or 3 months of Birth control to regulate hormones and then start taking Clomid after your withdrawal bleed! Im sure that's what your Dr has in mind!

Yea.. that's what she is thinking. She said that since I hadn't had a period in a while, I needed to bleed for at least a day or two, which I did. Then she said after my birth control, my hormones would be better.
I am just glad to have a plan.
