when the tooth about to come out?

My baby's been teething for 2 months now and been quite bad and cried a lot and i thought this is it,it must be coming out in a week but i'm wrong.
i try to look at his gum to see if it's more red than normal or anything else but i honestly have no idea if i know what i'm doing exactly.
i know i sound stupid but i'm 1st time mummy and i have many silly questions to ask,lol
would the whole gum gets red or just where the tooth's coming out?
would be great if anyone have a pic of teething baby before the tooth about to come out so i can get an idea.

Just before the tooth cuts the gum changes in texture, goes a little softer and can be redder but only in the area plus you should visibly see the tooth bud under the gum

should be whitish under the gum where the tooth is coming and one day it just appears lol like a little hole in the gum
