Hi all,

So I'm only 5 weeks but my boobs are already driving me mad/difficulty sleeping, so I have dug out my old mat bras from #1. They are helping with comfort at night but are still far to big for daytime and don't give enough support. I don't want to buy one and then have my boobs grow bigger. When did you buy yours? When should I buy one?

Ta

My boobs are starting to want to break out of my normal bras.. So Im thinking im getting very close. It sucks to buy something you might soon grow out of

I ended up hurting too much by 13 weeks and bought some nursing bras. I still fit fine and have room to grow (buy with the ability to snap on the smallest setting comfortably, giving you room to move to the other hooks as you grow). I got mine at Walmart because they were the only people that sold anything pregnancy related. 2 for $17. I have read that maternity bras are just marketing gimmicks, you can get a regular bra without underwire and good support for less if you desire. :) good luck!

I was wondering the same thing. At 8 weeks I have grown a full cup size and they just keep getting bigger. If I buy them too early I am afraid I will grow out of them soon. Since I have always been an A cup there isn't much room for real cleavage. DH is loving it though....

I was having the same problem. Boobs started to get noticably bigger at 8weeks so finally had to go buy a couple new bras at 10 weeks. They arent maternity ones they are just ones without underwire so i think they should kinda stretch a bit better than underwire ones would. Gone from 12c to a 14d. Havent put on weight as such but the bigger back size gives me a little room to grow.

Everyone is different with that. Usually I tend to 'bust out' of my bras around 20 weeks. When it comes to nursing bras, I would wait until after baby is born, and your milk has fully come in. That will give you a better idea as to what size you will be.

I bought maternity bras at dead on 5 weeks as they had grown a cup size already! I'm now 2 cupsizes up at 9 weeks! xx

I'm actually about to go buy one. This week has kind of been the end of me being able to wear my current bras. I completely overflow out of them :nope:

They've gotten massive within a week

I tried to put on my bikini from last year and it seriously looks like a porn start with a mini bikini top :p normly wear a size 12 and when looking for a new one i had to get a size 18 to make it cover my boobs enough. It was crazy!!!!

You should buy one when you need it.

I am in my third trimester and I am in my pre-pregnancy bras. So if there was an actual day or week along in my pregnancy that I should have bought one, it would have been a waste in my case.

I bought a belvia bra at the weekend which obviously isn't a maternity or nursing bra but it is so comfy and no underwire but reasonable support (even with my e cups). The reason I bought it though is because they come in small medium and large sizes rather than individual cup size so I figured there will be room to grow if needed. Just thought I'd suggest it to you ladies.
