When to establish a routine?

Hi everyone

Just wondered when everyone developed a routine for feeding. My LO is only 11 days old so currently feeding on demand which is usually around 7 feeds at a time but the times can vary quite a bit from day to day.

Did you wait for your LO to develop their own routine or did you try and get them into a routine and how did you do this?

Ooh, I await the responses to this one too. My LO is almost 14 days old and I don't know what to do, hubs said we should be setting a routine but I don't know if it is too early or not! How do you set a routine as he will only eat what he wants to eat in the day!

I have always fed my LO on demand She well and truely set her own routine by about 3 months From maybe 5/6 weeks you could almost guess when she was gonna be hungry x

We've just fed on demand so far - lo is 4 weeks tuesday. She has settled into a routine herself of about 3hrs in between day feeds and 3.5/4 hrs between night ones.

My LO is starting to get into a routine he goes 2 1/2 to 3 hours between feeds during the day and about 3-4 at night and 5 if i am very lucky

My lil bundle is 7 weeks old and I'm still feeding on demand, though I can pretty much guess when she's going to be hungry now.

Best possible thing you can do is let LO set their own routine and go by that. JMO though. My LO got into his own routine by about 6-8 weeks.

bella feeds on demand, & usually goes 3-4 hours between a feed & sleeps around 8 hours at night. but this can, & does vary.

Pretty much on demand apart from 9pm when I wake her up to feed as by doing this she goes through from 9.30pm till 3am, she feeds every 3 hours after this time
