When to have 4D scan?

Whens it best to have a 4d scan? Is it best to leave it until your like 28 weeks and further?

Best time I've heard is 28-32 weeks, thats when they look the cutest. With all their baby fat and such. If you go past 32 weeks it makes it hard as there's not that much room left for them etc.

Yeah i was thinking i wanted one doing around the 26 mark. My OH was thinking around 24 weeks but even though i have seen great pics done at 24 weeks the ones done later the babies are fatter.

Are you going to find out the sex toria? i remember the hospital wouldn't tell you last time...

Yeah I'm gonna find out the sex. I was gonna get mine done at 24 too, the woman said it would be better at 26 weeks, so I'm waiting!

When can I have a 3D/4D scan ?

We can perform this type of scan at anytime during your pregnancy, however we like to advise that the best time is between 20 weeks & 32 weeks gestation. 25 weeks being the optimum time.

Why ?

We say this because during your pregnancy the fluid surrounding your baby will fluctuate. Between 22 to 28 weeks gestation is the period with the most fluid present. It is the presents of the fluid that propergates the ultrasound, therefore increasing our chance to produce clear, high quality images for you to keep. Not only this but the baby is small enough to maneuver & appears more animated during this time.

I will be getting mine done on sunday! Hopefully it comes out clear, seeing as i waited so long to actually get it done. Keeping my fingers crossed

HI place i went to said best time is 26wks but at latest 28 as the fluid drops and the baby gets bigger and u dont get that good pics. xxx

i ad mine done @ 27 weeks bang on and got some great pics and really good dvd.

My doctor said.... like most others have already.... the best time is between 28-32 weeks but I had mine dont at 34 weeks and 6 days..... so almost 35 weeks and they turned out really good. IMO

The lady who did mine said they turned out much better then most womens at that stage.

I've heard that after 28 weeks is best, but not to have it past like 35 weeks cause the baby is all squished and hard to see.
