Hi, I was just wondering could people with experience tell me how you know when to switch from normal formula to hungry formula? My LO is having 7oz about 6 times a day sometimes with only 2 hour gaps in between before he is really crying hard and cannot be consoled any other way so I'm starting to think he's feeling really hungry and just wondered when I would know it was time to change.

Iv logged on to ask the same question myself. so i will be stalking

Is your lo having three meals a day yet? If so then 7x6oz bottles does seem alot of milk. Once weaned they only need 20-24oz of milk a day. Maybe instead of offering milk try to include 2-3 snacks like fruit, raisins, yoghurt etc. I dont think hungry baby milk at 9 months is really necessary as they should be filled up by the food they are having. xx

Oh crap, sorry just read your ticker wrong!!! Thought your son was 9 months not 2-3 months lol!!!!!!!!! Just ignore my entire first post! Maybe try upping his bottles to 8oz bottles and if he is still going 2 hourly on the 8oz bottles then ask your HV about hungry baby milk. xxxxx ps sorry again for my inability to read!!!!!!!!

I didn't think you could fit 8oz in a bottle haha, I thought 7oz plus formula pretty much took it to the top, I didn't realise you could fit 8oz in...I guess because 7oz is as high as the list goes on the formula box lol, doh!

Yeah most bottles will go up to 8oz/240ml. Some go up to 9oz and you can buy extra big ones that go up to 11oz! xxx
