I think I'm managing to keep a bit more weight off this pregnancy compared to last time.
I can't remember how maNY weeks I was last time when I had to remove my rings as my fingers got fat so they were cutting in and I was paranoid it would end up like my mum who had to have her ring cut off when pregnant because she couldn't get it off.

When have you found you had to?

I seem to think it was somewhere in the 20 something range...

I haven't been able to get my rings off since I was pregnant with dd1! Lol.

I've stopped trying. I have no need to take them off and they've never been so tight they hurt, I just can't get them over my slightly chubbier knuckles now!

I started taking off my rings when hiking a few weeks ago. Now (26 weeks) I'm not wearing them on a regular basis since it's getting hot here. Between the weight gain and swelling, I'm worried about not being able to take them off whenever I do put them on.

I took mine off last week (at 19 weeks) because I noticed it was difficult to get them off. I am pregnant with twins and have gained 20 pounds so far. I also had a fear of having to cut them off so I am thinking I could wear them on a necklace instead.

I think it is different for everyone. I never took mine off with my first two and don't plan on it with this one but I have not had any problems with swelling. I have always kept a close eye on them though cause my mom can't remove hers now and she will not even consider having them cut off unless medically necessary. Scary. She is a nurse and watches them carefully but she still scares me.

Idea.... If you want to take them off for safety, put them on a necklace that you can wear so that you are still technically still wearing them.

I've taken mine off already due to the heat and my fingers getting swollen. I don't want to not be able to do it later, so I've taken them off already.

I took mine off months ago. Most of the time they fit just fine, but after a long walk my hands swelled enough to make them temporarily hard to get off. I don't like the idea of them getting stuck on, so I just don't wear them anymore.

I took off the only ring I wear at 10 weeks, just as a precaution. I wear it on a gold chain round my neck X

I never had to take mine off with my daughter and hoping the same this time round :)

I was still wearing mine the day I went into labor with my son. So far I haven't had any swelling with this one either.

I don't remember when I had to last time, but most likely it was between 6-7 months as that was when I gained the most weight, and then from then on had quite a bit of water weight gain.

This time around, I noticed on Friday I couldn't get my rings on comfortably. I just didnt' wear them over the weekend, and I could get them on this morning, no problem taking them off. I normally take them off when I take my shower at night, and put them on in the morning. They aren't an e-ring or wedding band though. Just a claddaugh ring, and a celtic ring that has my son's birthstone in it, that I bought for myself years ago. I'm just over 22 weeks. I suspect I may have to stop wearing them in the next month or so, if I have water weight gain.

I took of mine this past weekend. My fingers have been itchy and the ring intensifies the itch. 30 weeks btw

I've already gained about 25lbs (!!) and am only almost 21 weeks, but I just tried taking my ring off and it slipped off fine. I didn't even think about it getting stuck! I guess I'll have to keep an eye on it. Thanks for the reminder. :)

Mine came off at 26 weeks with DD. Substitute wedding ring was then disposed of at 38 weeks. This time, it looks like I may manage to keep them on..which would be good.

I only take mine off at night, i find thats when my fingers swell more :)

I'm still wearing mine as well. They are *slightly* more snug... but I can get them on and off easily. I'm sure I'll realize when it's time, and then they will probably be around my neck. :)

I never had to take mine off first time and dont think/hope I won't have to this time either.
