Hello..! I will becoming up on my 2nd cycle of trying after my period stops, and I will be adding softcups this cycle. I know there is a softcups thread, but its 700 pages and I really do not want to read through all of that! If you could please give me some advice on this matter I would really appreciate it!
TMI alert: I wanted to practice using them before I ovulate, and I figured right now would be the perfect time. I figured if I can get all the blood to flow into the cup, that I could handle getting the sperm in there. Well I put one in at about 12:30pm to see. I had no leakage at all & I thought everything was fine. I was pretty much laying down all day, but I have been up and down, going to the bathroom etc and still had no leakage. Well I go to sit down after having it in for 7 hours, and I suddlenly hear this gurgle down there & then a huge pool of blood comes gushing out. When I removed it, there was blood in there, but it had all mostly spilled out. Did I insert it wrong? Or did it just get too full?
TMI alert: I am trying this again because I want to get it right when I am ovulating. I should be fertile just a few days after my period stops, so that is why I am trying now. I can feel the rim of the cup against my pubic bone, so it feels like its in there right, but I am not sure! I try to push it back further, but it seems like its in there because the rim stays against my pubic bone. But does that mean the rest of it is around my cervix as it should be? Also, when laying down or standing up, I can feel the plastic plastic from the softcup when inserting a finger. Is this normal?
So now when it comes to using them for TTC & not menstruation, how do I make sure I actually"scoop" the sperm in to the cup and not create a barrier blocking the sperm from my cervix? Would it be wise to actually pull out the bag, and then insert the softcup, or would doing that make it more difficult to insert it?
I have been inserting them while laying down, would they go in better if I sat up?
Thanks for baring with me! Any other advice would be wonderful!
Thanks!
