when were you booked?

I went to the dr. on Monday at 35+5wks. I just knew they would give me the date that my ELCS would be. But they said no that they would probably give me the date on my next appt which will be in 2 weeks. I will be 38wks when I go back. I thought I would have a little more advance notice than that. My DH needs to tell them when he will be off work. And she also said they will probably do it around Dec. 21st and my due date is the 26th. Do they normally wait that long? I figured they would probably do it around the 17th. I don't want to be discharged on Christmas Eve. I have a 4 year old DS that I would like to be able to enjoy Christmas with too.

I would really push for it Hun. My friend found out weeks before as she went on and on at them. Ring them up and act upset, tell them your husbands work are very hard work and you are worried how his work will react with such short notice. Also explain you need to sort out your daughter cos all your family work and they need to book their days off 2 weeks in advance. It's worth a try Hun, it's not really fair. I know my friend did it and they gave her a date xx

I'm 29 weeks and already have my date scheduled. With my 2nd I found out 2 weeks before and I went crazy with making necessary plans I should have made well before then. I would call and complain telling them you have a daughter and you need to sort everything out with care for her well before, and your DH's job needs to know well in advance. With c-sections they don't usually do them before 39 weeks depending on the hospitals schedule.

Thanks for the reply. I did try to tell them that my husband needed to notify his work. They just kind of blew me off like they think there is still lots of time. Maybe I will just try to keep harassing them..lol

I was 37 weeks and 3 days when I found out my date and they booked me in for a day before my due day so that was 23rd or this month xx
