Everything was going really well until 2 days ago when I started to get pain in left nipple when he was feeding. After advice here and searching the Internet, I think it's because he isn't getting a deep enough latch. The right side is ok with no pain.
When he's latched on it doesn't look as if he's got much of the aerola, certainly not underneath. His mouth tends to be covering the upper part of my aerola. I've read a lot of the Internet about obtaining a deep latch, but what starts off as a good latch more often turns into pain and he appears to be sucking on my nipple. Is there a reason why he'd be losing a good latch part way through feeding?
Any advice?
Thanks if you've got this far :) x

sorry i have no advice but do you have a lactation consultant or breastfeeding group/ busom buddies you can go to for help?

Maybe keep an eye on your latch and get your lo to relatch if he's slipped off? X

I've been watching online videos like mad and have started at the beginning again with the latch. I've fed twice since and think I may have corrected the latch. There is one lactation consultant in my city so may try her but easier said than done in Saudi x
