Leo is 2 weeks old now and I put him on C&G Comfort at 3 days old as I found the aptamil didnt suit him. He is currently taking 4/5 oz every 3/4 hours.

He can be a nightmare to wind properly and will stay awake sometimes for 1 hour + after a feed and he will do little burps during this time, then he will start looking for food again, really chomping on his dummy. Eventually he will fall asleep but I think he is going to sleep hungy sometimes! If he didnt have a dummy I would have to feed him again as I have done on a few occasions, but he only takes 1/2 - 1 ounce and then flakes! I try not to do this now though:dohh: Does it sound like hes still hungry to you or just after a little 'fill me up', would he go to sleep if he was hungry do you think?

When he does wake for his feed he is like a baby posessed! He sucks, and I mean SUCKS ANYTHING that goes near his mouth and he gulps it down until I have to take it off him for him to get some air!

Where would I go from C&g comfort though? They dont seem to do a hungy baby milk in the comfort range just a follow on milk.....

I dont want to mess about with his food too much either:blush:

When he finishes his 4-5oz is he looking for more or will he shut down and not be able to take anymore? Could he be tireing himself out sucking on the teats because Comfort is so thick? How quickly does he take his usual feed?

It sounds like he needs that top up though after he has got all his wind up. Have you tried Dentinox to help bring the wind up? It really helps my two.

We tried cow and gate then gow and gate comfort but have found that she is best on sma gold as its a bit heavier doesnt make her sick and settles her for longer she loves it. x

Exactly the same with my two. They were on comfort now SMA gold and they seem to prefer it.

what was it about the comfort you didnt like? Leo seems quite unsettled on it tbh, hes not being sick any more just seems reakly grouchy after feeds and in the day is hard to settle after feeds.

He takes what he wants and then wont take any more.....I always make bottles up with an extra oz more than I know he takes just incase so its there if he wants it......im using stage 3 dr browns teats with the bottles and it flows out quick enough for him. He usually feeds in 10-15 mins (take away winding time) his 4/5 oz.

Mine were fine on comfort, they just swallow SMA faster and seem more satisfied - perhaps because they aren't getting fed up or tired cos the comfort is so thick and slow for them to drink maybe.

How has Leo been recently? Still the same?

Yes.

The HV came today and I bombarded her with everything thats been going on, hes put weight on 10lb 14 omg! so hes not suffering in that dept! She says its Colick, definately:cry: She also said I shouldnt be giving him infacol or dentinox or coleif ASWELL as being on the comfort milk as they both do the same thing:dohh: Now hes only on the milk and getting green poo she thinks the milk may not suit him so advised me to change milk and use ONE thing for colick, so as hes not quite a month yet Im gonna put him on Heinz nurture and infacol and see how we go from here. She also showed me some baby massage tecniques to help with his gripe pains so all in all Im feling a little happier, lets see if Leo does now.:hugs:
