Where do you go once you've had all treatments you can afford?

Hi ladies,

We've had nhs funded iui x 3 & ivf x 1....we had two successful pregnancies which both ended in mmc....

I'm really going to push for testing this fetus to see if anything was wrong and see if they'll test me for recurrent issues but its unlikely.

Now i just don't believe in ourselves personally getting loans out for ivf treatment. It isn't gaurenteed and where do you stop?!

So where now? Loads of ladies get natural bfp's....how do we get ours after 3years?

For now were going to enjoy being married and having sex when we want to....I just wondered what everyone was doing to try and get a natural bfp? Vitamins? Bbt? Etc...

I have good amh but low lh...afc was 30...hubbies SA varies from 5mil-20mil.

Xx

Hello!

I know in some private places, if you're producing eggs, you can get cheaper ivf if you donate them?
Tricky subject but a lot of them have no waiting lists for this either

x

Thanks dimps...

I've looked at this an unless i have my own child i don't think i can donate my eggs knowing i.mine
might stay childless yet my eggs have turned into kiddies...

I would defo do egg share for number 2 tho x

I think instead of worrying about more treatments, maybe you should do more tests and find out why you are having the miscarriages. Have you had any more testing done since you've had them? NK Cells? Clotting disorders? Genetic? They aren't cheap tests, but they are definitely less expensive than more IVF.

Pop chick I'm going to ask about the testing...thing is I think they'll put it down to bad luck, my mmc last year was a molar an who knows what this one was...

Your Siggy says you're trying iui with intralopids July, have you started?

I definitely Don't want any treatments until tested!

X

Sorry I can't offer advice but I want to send a hug.
Hope they get to the bottom of the mc.

Not yet...I'm waiting for CD1 to get started, so that should be any day now. That's why I mentioned more testing before any more treatments. We did IVF and multiple IUIs long before the NK cell test. Since the test came back positive, it was pretty much all for nothing.
If the doctor won't do the additional tests, it may be time to get a second opinion. We went through 4 doctors before one of them thought to do the genetic and NK cell tests.

Im so sorry to hear about ur mmc's :hugs: I just wanted to say that on the egg sharing thread im on there are a couple of girls that have / are going to have treatment that are ttc#1. Maybe call a few clinics? :hugs: wish u all the best xxx

Hi plex..

Thank for commenting, I've actually been keeping a close eye on that thread!

Based on my previous mc I wonder whether they would even consider me, I'm also quite against myself personally egg sharing..

I think it's a totally amazing thing to do, and I would definitely consider it for #2 but my reasoning for not liking the idea of it is because I over analyse everything! I would always wonder where my eggs got to, how old they are, boy or girl?

I'd be interested to know how you feel about the future of your eggs?

Again I think it's amazing for people to do it, I know if I couldn't use my eggs I would be so appreciative of someone donating them!

We're going to an adoption evening next week to find out more.

Love to you all x

I would still have a ring round, I know a few of the girls on that thread have had mc's and have been accepted. I think it must be more difficult a decision for #1 as if it fails ur recipient cud get a bfp
Im happy to egg share im actually quite excited about it all :D i just hope i respond well to the drugs and have enough to share lol

The good thing about the egg sharing is that they tell you if the recipient got pregnant (you phone to find out urself when ready to know) then they will tell you how many babies were born as a result their month/year of birth and if they were a boy or a girl. So you have quite a bit of information there to think on for the 18years until they can make contact with you :)

I dont think I'll be entirely sure of how i will feel until the process of treatment is over though

You can also write a goodwill message to the unborn child for them to read when theyre older. Its important to remember though that any donor conceived child that the recipient has has no legal rights over you or your future children just as we have no legal rights over them.

xx

I did see on your Siggy this is #2...you're absolutely spot on there, if they got a bfp and I didn't I would just be devastated...I would feel like ive sort of lost another child...

Again like I said, totally amazing thing to do...I really hope this gets you number 2 & maybe some frosties for num 3!!!! X

Thanks hun :)

Maybe try looking to see where has trials on and maybe get a free cycle that way? I know its a long shot though :hugs: Its so damn expensive this infertility :( xx
