Where is my cervix?

This is a little embarrassing, solely from the perspective that I feel I should know my own body better, but for the life of me I cannot find my cervix! I'm on CD4/CD5 and no matter how many times I attempted to find the thing or how far up I went (or how many online instructions I read), I could not find any discernible "end" to whatever is inside me, and certainly no hard surface like the tip of a nose. I know the cervix can move up during ovulation or arousal, but neither should be happening.

Has anyone else had these navigation problems? Or could it be that it really does sit more than four inches deep even when supposedly "low"?

Just keep checking every day. You WILL noticed a shift in texture and position. It took me about 3-4 weeks to really understand what "soft" and "hard" and "high" all meant.

I found that the classic descriptions of CM don't fit me. It is always pretty slippery without any noticeable mucous. I just figure that's my body, I was just confused for a long time because it didn't match with the pictures I see online.

Hmm, yes, I hope you're right, but the problem is that I can't feel anything at all inside me that even could be the cervix. I can feel the four walls as I go in, but they don't lead to anywhere that my fingers can reach. I feel like I'd need longer fingers, but my fingers are not exactly short as it is! Am I maybe tensing and pulling my cervix up when I do it or something?

I can BARELY feel mine but not enough to tell if it's soft, hard, open, etc. I don't have short fingers either so I'm wondering if some of us just have really high cervixes?

Thank you for asking this. There is a lot going on in there but if I push out I feel a lump thing, is that it? I feel like I should know but they don't teach "finding your cervix 101" in college hahahaha

So I think I might have found my cervix... if it was in fact it, it was off to one side and, like MrsRose, I could BARELY reach it. I was kind of round, small (for some reason I expected it to be bigger) and I guess it was kind of like the tip of a nose. Kind of hard. I didn't feel a little opening in it, though. If it goes higher when I ovulate, I feel like there is no way I will be able to reach it.

Wooo hoo! :happydance:

I never feel an opening but have noticed changes in texture and depth.

I feel like I am finally a woman :D

Also, some of these emoticons are really interesting :img:
