Wheres AF??

I just realized that I haven't had AF yet since my D&C, I think just 4wks now. There's no sign of her either. Not that I miss her terribly or anything, but how long does it take? Ladies, how long did you wait for the after mc or D&C? How was it, normal, the worst ever?........Please share, as I'm getting impatient for my visit.

Mine first AF after the ERPC was 35 days after it!! So 5 weeks hun. I had some spotting about 5 days before it and thought I might be pregnant again, infact I remember reading Porkpie had exactly the same thing.

Your af cycle starts from the day after you stop bleeding apparently so it is usually around 5 weeks for most women. Hope this helps xxx

My AF didn't return for about 16 weeks, but this is unusual I think. I still had positive pregnancy results for 6 weeks after my ERPC which was confusing as even the GP wasn't sure what was going on. I did a home preganancy test 3 weeks after my ERPC just out of interest and got a strong positive. I had to have blood tests to check that the hormone levels were actually dropping and not that I was pregnant again. I had to have my hCG levels monitored weekly to 'see them out of the door' as the GP put it. They did drop but very slowly. This was the only time I've ever looked forward to my AF! When I had my son 12 years ago my AF didn't return for 6 months so it may just be a problem with me.

I miscarried naturally and my first AF wasn't until 6 weeks later. It does get really frustrating waiting, i was almost pulling my hair out towards the end as i just wanted to start TTC again.
It was actually quite light overall. i spotted brown blood for two days and then full flow for two days and then spotted for a day. Pre MC AF was always three days full flow and then spotting for two days.

After D&C mine came 29 days after but I think it can take anything between 6 to 8 weeks. Hope arrives for you soon so you can get to know where you are again.

Hi..after my ERPC I bled for a week (light to medium) and had spotting for a few days over the next two weeks but my AF came a week after that which would be about 3 weeks after I stopped bleeding following ERPC.

After my medical management of mc in May I bled for 2 weeks then only was dry for 3 days before bleeding again for 2 weeks (I was told that this was my first AF after mc cos scan showed that I had OV'd)

I was told it is usually 4-6 weeks after mc so I was an exception to the rule on this occaision and I'm sure I'm not the only one! I think that what we want is just to get back to normal after a mc so that we can TTC again when we are ready. I have been so confused as to what my body has been doing but 'chatting' on this site is so helpful cos I know I'm not aloneand we can offer each other support and advice!

(I think our bodies can take some time to re-adjust after mc but any concerns should be checked out).

Mine took 6 1/2 weeks - 46 long days after my D&C.

I've been wondering about this too. I don't know what will happen because I started to bleed 4 weeks ago yesterday but lke gem my hcg has fallen really slowly (in fact it was 24 yesterday) so I've been told it might be another 6 weeks from now

The showed up yesterday morning. Horray!! Only time I've ever been happy to see her... now we can TTC again!! I started spotting on Wed, and Thurs then she came in full force. This one is more crampy than usuall, but not too bad otherwise. (For those who are waiting still) So for me it was (pulls calendar out) 30days from D&C to new cycle. Which now that I think of it is exactly how I was before mc. Hopefully, it'll stay that way, next month we'll see for sure.

My returned 23 days after the day I lost my baby and about 19 days after the last day of bleeding which shows how much it can vary. I guess that is because your next cycle probably starts when the baby passes away which can be a few days before you actually get any bleeding.

I'm now on my first cycle post m/c and gearing up for Friday which is day 10 so I can start baby making
