Hi, my son is 10 weeks, i started off using Tommee Tippee bottles when he came home from hosp but i find they give him wind i switched to Avent and they are a godsend! wouldnt be without them. Me fiance and me ma and da prefare tommee tippee when they are feeding my son. me da says that his mouth doesnt fit around the top of the teet with avent as it does with tommee tippee. has anyone had problems with avent before?? i presonally love them!

We have been using Avent since starting FF at 2weeks and LO has got on with them very well. LO is a very hungry baby with feeding every 1.5-2 hours so we got two bottles from the TT Essential range as extras for all the Christmas visiting we were doing, didn't want to be sterilizing everywhere we went!

Huge mistake, he had terrible wind and screamed for 7 hours straight on Christmas day! Just use them for making up feeds to store in the fridge now.

Tried the Dr Brown bottles and they seem to be the best out of the three. Teats are the only ones that don't make him 'leak' milk from corners of his mouth. More fiddly and not very practical for using on travels but worth it when at home.

According to LO Avent is. :haha:

She hated tommee tippee... Mind you I've got an EXTREMELY picky baby here.. We've trialed, literally, 12 different types of bottles... She refused ALL except.

1) dr. brown 2)drop ins 3)avent

The LAST ones I wanted to try as they're so expensive! :dohh:

I have to keep all 3 around because every now and than she prefers a certain one and won't take out of the others... ohhhh, this child of mine..

We use Avent and apart from occassional leaking they are brilliant! To avoid leaking I tend to tighten the screw cap then loosen and tighten again.....no idea why this works but I read it somewhere and it seems to work!

I have a friend who uses Tommee Tippees and she gets on well with them too x x x

To above poster I've found my avent only leak when i screw it on too tight!! Loosen it a tad and it should be good!

xx

How funny! These bottles have minds of their own! Thanks for this, I'll bear it in mind next time the bottle leaks and I'll try it out! x x x

Ahhhhhh you don't have to tell me :haha:

I've gone through every bottle in the damn market!!!!! :dohh:

Avent are fab! We used one the hospital gave us which caused her to be sick as she gulped too much and boots own which frustrated her as she couldnt get the milk fast enough. Avent along with Infacol have stopped her being so sick xxx

We use Tommee Tippee closer to nature, we switched to DR Browns for a few weeks when he had bad colic but weve gone back to TT now no probs!

all my boys have loved the tommee tippee, my first started on avent but prefered the tt bottles
