How accurate is your EDD (aua)-Actual Ultrasound Age
compared to your original EDD?

My original EDD is 7th Aug..i got told this from my NHS hospital at my 12 week scan..
My EDD (aua) is 30th July..i got told this at babyandbond at 32 weeks...

id like to think babys got more of a chance coming on the 30th lolx

I have no idea. My original edd was 27th july, then got moved to 2nd aug at 12 week scan.
I just like to think my original due date is correct but i doubt it

my original date was 31st of july, and got moved to the 2nd of august at my first scan.

my due date never changed, it was the date i worked out and the doctor then the scan. i would say use the later date that way youve got less chance of going overdue lol.

my EDD from lmp was 5th of november but from my scans its been moved to the 20th of november ... thats like 2 weeks difference and in theory makes no sense as to when i concieved as i didnt even dtd anywhere around that time (FOB and my OH at the time lives in england so kinda hard to dtd over that distance) but who knows, means i have an extra 2 weeks with bubs hopefully deciding to make their own arrival rather than having to be induced

apparently, the reason they do dating scans so early and stuff is because the further along in pregnancy you are the less accurately they can tell..
meaning the earlier one is probably more likely.. apprently it's the most accurate time to date a pregnancy by ultra-sound scanning is between 10 -14 weeks..

i got told this and then i read it somewhere on the NHS website too..

my dates are out, because the 30th july means i found out when i was 1 week or something silly.. and there aren't tests that work that early.. :shurg:
it's 10 daysish at least, and to get a line as clear as i was the woman said i'd have to be two weeks or more.. meaning i should be due anytime about now? but i dunnoo.. they're really sillyy..

I've actually not had this lol..my EDD is exactly the same as it's always been, What i say my EDD is and what my scan shows my EDD & my baby's growth shows are always exaclty the same date which is November 13th!

My original was an estimate because I couldn't remember the exact day I had started my last period, so we estimated it at around 24th Jan, at my 12 week scan that EDD got moved to 22nd January, so not toooo far out!

my edd never changed docs tried to tell me i had my dates wrong at first n told me i werent due till 28th nov, i sat there n told him 2 shove his dates i didnt have mine wrong his were wrong lool, then he sent me for a scan n appologised as my dates where correct hehe.
He thought i said the 14th oct ''apparently''.

My original one was 21st August.
At a emergency scan at 11+3 they said I was dating 11+6. (19th August)
At my 12 week scan they said I was measuing 22nd August!

So I'm sticking to my EDD by my LMP as I know for definate when we had sex

Hey sweetie, i had the same thing happen to me, so i did tons of research.
The earlier the ultrasound the more accurate it is since all babies are the same size in the first trimester. So as time progresses the sizes can vary alot more and make it change your due date. But i would stick with the first one. Since it was so early on.

Mine was 11th Aug, it changed to the 10th at my 20 week scan but I always still say my EDD is the 11th, its only a day anyways

With my LMP my due date was Sept 24th, but then with the ultrasound it was Oct 2nd, my doc guessed I ovulated later in my cycle.

I was given 7th April first then it moved at my scan to the 5th April so didn't really make a difference!

Oh mine is so crazy. I took a test and went to Planned Parenthood the next day and said I was due on November 7th, 2010. Then I went to the OB/GYN and they did an ultrasound and said I was due on November 14th, 2010. Then when I was 20 weeks I went to find out the sex and they said according to my baby's size I was 21 weeks, NOT 20. But they said they weren't going to change my due date, so it's still November 14th, 2010. Hmmm...

I was on the pill when I conceived so although my due date based on lmp was 11th November I was told it didn't mean anything (as 'periods' on the pill aren't true periods therefore can't be used to pinpoint ovulation) and to go with my scan date of 31st October...nearly two weeks earlier, meaning I must've conceived on my period, when I know we didn't have sex Apparently my measurements were pretty much bang on at my 20 weeks scan though, so I'm sticking with Halloween...mainly because it's a cooler date
