Hi,

I am hoping to express with my 3rd child but am not sure which is the best electric pump, which ones have u all used and liked or disliked?

With my first he was solely bottle fed and with my daughter I expressed a little using a manual pump but it was hard work, such a long drawn out process and didnt manage to get much milk so this time Im hoping to be more successful with an electric pump, I am trying to be organised and would like to buy it within the next month or so

I look forward to replies, thanks in advance

I would recommend a Medela. I have the Pump In Style Advanced backpack, and it works great! I had a Playtex one for about a month and absolutely hated it, so after getting fed up, I spent a little extra and got the Medela. A little pricey but def worth it!

I was like you for fist baby.. had manual and didn't like it. I have the Medela Pmp-in -style as well, and really didn't mind it much but I was still having trouble getting good amounts off the breast.

A friend of mine recommended the Avent Isis manual pump for me, and though I was skeptical, I tried it. And love it! I'm able to simulate baby suckign, and can pull 2 times as much milk in the same time as the Medela.

But that's just my experience. I know expression tools are VERY user dependent, and what works for some may not work for others. If there's a way to rent one or borrow one, I'd do that before buying one. And you can't go wrong having a great little hand expressor around like the Isis.

BTW, I have also heard the Lansinoh brand of electric pump is decent.

i use the medela electronic pump and it works really well. good suction and i get good volumes of milk out too. it is rather noisy though!

Ditto! I have the mini electric and can hardly hear the tv over the noise it makes!

i know, i was hoping to pump and watch telly at the same time but that plan was knocked to pop due to the noise it makes! it is a good pump though....
