Hi all,

Im switching my LO on to 'nromal' milk from prescription milk and am trying to decide which milk to go for. Any advice??? Thanks!

I use aptimal and its fab. She has been on stage 1 and then comfort (as she had bad wind) and then stage 2. She is fine on it all. There will be people who have good and bad on all 3 main brands. But i would recomend aptimal. However all babys react different. Try one brand but get only 1 tub. That should be enough to tell you if your LO will be ok on it. You may find as your switching brands they may get a bit constipated. But that can happen on any brand. I switched kacey from BF to aptimal and she didnt have constipation

I'm an Aptamil fan too :)

My own were all BF, but Kaylum was switched from BF to FF after antibiotics coming through in Tattie's milk caused major problems for him.... Aptamil seems to be more like breast milk in look and colour and didn't cause any major constipation problems at all.

were on hipp organic i like it as its all oragnic and has prebiotics and very much like breast milk!

weve never had any problems with constapation lo gains weight fab on it and it just works really well for us! x

Another vote for Aptamil here to, LO has been on it since birth (now 3 months) with no problems. He is certainly thriving on it.

i used cow and gate and that was fine but ollie has reflux and is now on sma staydown

IMO Aptamil and Cow & Gate are virtually identical, and equally good. I've read in a few places that they are made by the same people in the same factory, and having used both I could not tell any difference. The only difference I know of is that C&G is cheaper!

The only one to avoid is SMA, no end of people seem to have problems with it, compared to hardly anyone with the others. Don't get Heinz Nurture either, as it's discontinued.

I used Cow and gate and have swiched to Aptimel 1 day ago so far so good : )
