Which obgyn?

I don't have an obgyn where I live, so I've been searching for some ever since my BFP. After a lot of doctors saying 'we aren't taking any new patients', I finally made two appointments and now I'm a bit confused about which appointment to keep. Hoping you ladies can help!

The first doctor is male. I'm a bit nervous about that. Plus, his clinic is quite far from our apartment. However, he has excellent reviews online and women are raving about how caring and kind he is. Plus, his appointment is earlier - June 13th.

The second doctor is female and her clinic is walking distance. I didn't find any good reviews for her, but someone on a French forum did recommend her. On the other hand, I haven't found any bad reviews about her either. Her appointment is later - June 21st.

Which would you pick? Keep in mind that neither of these doctors will deliver my baby, since I will be going back to my home country for that.

I keep thinking I should go for the appointment on the 13th and only if I dislike Ghar doctor, I should try the other one... What would you do?

Do you have reliable transportation to the other? When do you plan to go back home? Meaning at the end the visits will be very frequent can you handle weekly or other week visits to the far away dr? I would lean to the close one but to me I would rather be able to ask a neighbor to drive me then have to worry about cab cost or husband taking off few hours for a rouine exam.

I would just use public transport and that is pretty reliable here. I wouldn't need to be driven, thankfully, because that would make me so dependent on my husband! I plan to leave at 28-29 weeks and till then I think the visits are only monthly?

Thanks for replying :)

Then in that case go with the other. By me you can take a bus along main roads/do shopping just fine but many offices are so far away the walking would be to much. As long as you like dr one then cancel the other appt as soon as you come home to allow the slot to be filled and avoid any charges for late cancelling.
