Hi girls, just wanted your opinions really. I'm looking for a simple easy to use sling / baby carrier. I have a chicco carrier, but I don't really like it as it is quite heavy on my shoulders and I feel that the baby isn't really close enough to me. It's also quite tricky getting her into it once I've got it on.

There are so many wraps / carriers out there - it's a bit of a minefield & some are very pricey. I don't want to buy one and then end up never using it and wasting money. So what to you suggest for ease of use?

Im no sling expert but here is my 2 cents :)
I *think* when they are so small and light a wrap seems best but the problem is you will need a pricey one if you wnat to use it alot when she is older, Im not sure if you can use a mei-tai on a one month old i *think* that you can and it would probably be your best bet.
Babyhawk ones are the most popular and I have a maya tai which is a mei tai with 'wrap-like' shoulders so gives alot more support and Im quite happy with it. Before that I had a baby bjorn and it was fine when he was smaller but KILLED my shoulders and back after 5 months :)

a stretchy wrap is nice & snuggly for a baby & forgiving when u r learning to wrap, but they become a bit harder to securely fasten a heavier baby because of the stretch in the material. Woven wraps are nice & prices vary a huge amount. Mei Tais like the babyhawk are nice & pretty & fairly easy to tie. :D

I love my babyhawk tbh i wouldnt be without it!!

Its quick and easy and comfy to wear for hours :D

I loved my moby so much. If I still had it, I'd be carrying my nearly 2 year old around in it! I carried him easily until he was about a year old and my child is/was a chunky monkey.

He used to cry a lot as a newborn but being in it always lulled him to sleep. He also loved being able to see everything as he got older, he was so nosey!

I have had a few and by FAR the easiest (and cheapest) is a fleece pouch!

You honestly can not get an easier carrier, because you just put it over your head and put the baby in - you can have them in it like a pouch, or like i do when they are bigger - on your hip (which is one of the easiest ways I find of carrying a rather heavy and wriggling toddler!) This is where I got mine https://www.herbalbaybee.co.uk/page6.htm

I also have for summer, a linen ring sling - which I find almost as easy as the pouch (once you set it to what feels comfy) - again very versatile for how you can carry them . https://www.herbalbaybee.co.uk/page7.htm - I believe that teal/red with the green rings is my actual sling because I had it made special with the green non metallic rings!

What I want is a slingling - which is like a pouch but not fleece https://www.herbalbaybee.co.uk/page10.htm
