White screen on iphone!

Anyone know how to fix this

I got the new 4s last week, was going to send my 3gs to mazuma for extra dosh for Christmas.
I had let it die so charged it and left it... go to switch it on and the screen is white I have pressed the home button and on switch together but its not working! And if I don't know how to fix it I only get half of what I was going to get for it
