White vs Colored Tree Lights

I prefer white lights. I think they look really classy. However, kids like multi-coloured so I'll probably have to change that later on!

white lights definately, especially if you have a lot of decorations on your tree the white lights show them off better, I find the decorations get lost in coloured ones.

Agreed. I prefer all white for both the tree and window/outside. But a single colour can look beautiful, as can the fibre-optic changing colour ones if they change really gradually. I think chunky multi-coloured lights look a bit tacky and aren't for me I'm afraid.
