So, currently trying to ttc #2. I know it works lol as we have done it before however it is taking longer this time and is frustrating me.
I use opk each month and seem to ov on day 17 and have a 28/29 day cycle.
This last cycle was odd tho as I had a pos opk on day 13, which would lead to normal ov on about day 14 right? Well then I hadn't had ewcm so even though we dtd anyway, I continued to test, having pos on day 20/21 too?! I have now come on so didn't work clearly. My thoughts are maybe I have been counting my cycle wrong in that i count day one as when I get anything, even spotting/minimal or old blood.
Do you count from proper 'flow' or when new blood is seen?
My LO is 41/2 now so ttc is a distant memory!

I count day 1 as getting anything. But I don't always spot. Temping is a good way of figuring out things. Sometimes opks can be hard to read

Maybe your body geared up to ovulate but never actually did. That happens. Everything I've read says to count cd1 as your first day of flow, not just spotting. Good luck!

Oh and sometimes I get 'old' blood which is brown, right before new flow on my period. Do I count from new flow as in red blood. I am so sorry for tmi but no other way to ask!

Day one is supposed to be full AF flow. old blood could be from last month. I used to spot for 4-5 days before CD1.

The fertility clinic counts it the same way for CD1.
