Whooping cough vaccine uk ladies

I've not even been offered this, should I have been?

My midwife forgot to mention it to me so I booked it via my GP (as couldn't get hold of midwife). If you're in uk, they advise you get it done before 38 weeks, I think and as soon after 2 weeks as you can (check nhs website). So definitely book yourself in if you want it.

I think between 28 and 32 weeks is optimal, after that the antibodies you produce from the vaccine might not have time to travel to baby - but it's still worth having it done as some protection is better than none.

Call you Dr's and get yourself booked in if you do want to have it.

I had mine 3 weeks ago but went to my midwife yesterday and she said I had to get it now I said I had it two weeks ago I thought u were ment to get it between 28 an 32 weeks I'm almost 35 weeks, I'm quite worried that she would advise me to get it done at this stage in my pregnancy just as well I knew about it before she mentioned it x

I had to book my own appointment too. My mw mentioned it at my booking in appointment and didn't mention it again..
