Why are you on Clomid?

I am going on my first round starting October. I DO Ovulate it's to help the sperm get to more targets. I will be taking 50mg on cycle day 3.
We have been trying for 6 months. With my DD it was 2 months of trying I got PG using CBFM. I still use my monitor and I have ovacue and I temp. Hope the first round will work crossing fingers

I am on my first round of clomid. I take it because I have PCOS and do not ovulate on my own (have been trying on and off for two years with no success). I am also taking maca and b6/b12/folic acid......i am very confident...finally, that things will work out for me.
i also drink grapefruit juice to counteract the 'drying-up-effect' of clomid....and so far that has worked wonderfully.

I ovulate very randomly - some months I do then may go months without - theres no predictability to it and my cycles are bonkers! sometimes I have a 19 day cycle sometimes a 42 day cycle.

yes thats why I will be taking it. so the sperm can get to more the 1 egg

I just have WHACKY cycles.... and not ovulating every month- so we are only trying this for 2 months at 50mg and if it doesn't work- due to my age, my OBGYN will refer me to a fertility specialist

I agree I just want to try for 2/3 cycle then go further

Hi Clomid can only make you produce more than 1 egg if you take it within the first 3 days of your cycle because thats when you ovaries decide each month, i have started clomid again this month and taking it days 3 to 7 so hopefully i will get more than 1 egg xxxgud luck xxx

hi - i ovulate on my own but have been ttC for 33 months so FS said it was time to try the clomid - had 1st round last cycle and got a BFN so onto round 2 for me. I really hope it works. I had 2 ripe follies last cycle but lining was on thin side (i ov'd a few days after scan so hopefully lining thickened up by then). Still it didnt work though so who knows - will just have to wait and see. I dont want to take it for too many months though - maybe 4 months max i think. After that its IVF for me next year - great news (NOT).

Im taking clomid as i dont ovulate/ have periods on my own, i too am a bit scared that if this doesnt work then IVF will be the only option!

you can still make more than 1 egg no matter when you take Clomid.......
Im on Femara, not Clomid, but know friends who have taken it and one just took it after day 3 and she is preg with more than 1 baby.

I'm taking clomid a's I have pcos and I wasn't ovulating at all which is strange a's I have conceived 4 times naturally and had no idea I had pcos until we had been trying for 5 years without luck and decided to visit the doctor who referred us to a fs and she diagnosed pcos I did a cycle at 50 no ovulation second cycle at 100 no ovulation 3/4 cycles where at 150 I ovulated but didn't catch the egg I have been off the clomid for 3 months but am due to do my last 2 cycles of clomid @150mg September and October I also only gave 1tube a's one of my pregnancies was ectopic and ruptured my tube x
