Why can't I message anyone privately?

I can't seem to be able to post on anyone's visitor messages? Or send them a private message?

Is it because I'm new here?

One of my friends reccomended me to the site but even though I've found her I can't message her or anybody else.

I think there is a post limit - it might be that you have to have at least 10 or 15 posts (not sure on the exact number). You might want to try posting some more and then give it another go.

I have been having the same problem today. I am unable to PM someone who I have previously messaged through a Private Message... is this a bug, or is it because they have since chosen not to allow private messaging?
