Nobody has managed to give me an answer to this yet!

LO is on SMA gold and is absolutely fine, takes it well and gets wind up like a trooper. I'm really pleased with him.

However it is almost a constant thing that he strains as if to move his bowels and goes bright red, on and off throughout the day but most often after a bottle.

He is NOT constipated, goes either once a day or every 2 days and his poop is nice and soft and the right consistency, no pellets or anything. He doesn't cry when he has a poop. But he does sometimes strain and cry - he never goes when he is straining! But is still regular

It's so random I thought maybe colic (can blame everything on that!!) and we put dentinox colic drops in his bottles which he's fine with. He doesn't have hours of crying on a night or anything like that

He's basically fine but strains all the time and it often upsets him! Why?!?!

errrrrrrrr, i dont know! but Marcus does the same (sure i just posted the same thing on another of your threads !) :haha:

towards the end of the feed he goes bright red and strains but doesnt 'go' and brings gas up too. again he doesnt seem to have traditional colic but it think it possibly is some sort of colic ish issue. he is certainly not constipated either!

he can get a bit aggitated with it so i just hold him or sometimes put him down and he will self sooth

My baby girl does that as well, she usual bring up wind well and farts like a trooper lol apart from today where she is being a bit of a sod with wind! I put it down to just having a little bit trapped. Altho they burp well etc there may be a slight bit trapped. I'm going to try infacol before her next feed, like u said may be a bit of colic! Xxx

My LO dose this as well when put down after a feed but he wiggles about and it seems to make it better i think it is just a bit of wind or them being to full and they are just making room.

Mine does tthis too! HV said it is totally normal.
