has Leo managed to get every poo he has done in the last 72 hours right up the back of the nappy just where I need to get the insert out of its pocket .

it doesn't matter if the insert is washed in the nappy, as there shouldn't be any poo on the insert anyway.
obviously they do wash better if they're out of the pocket, but if your doing a rinse cycle first you can take the insert out before putting the main wash on.
