Hi, I have been bfing my lo for 6 months now and for various reasons we've come to the end of our bfing journey.
Whilst weight loss is not a factor in my decision to stop bfing I'm just curious...
I lost a lot of weight to begin with thanks to the bf but the wight loss stopped with 14lbs or so to go. Ive heard that the body keeps hold of fat just in case and some people lose the last bit of weight when they stop bfing. Is this true for anyone?
Thanks in advance :flower:

It was true for me with my first, to an extent. I had about 15 lbs to go to get to pre-preg weight when I stopped BFing. I lost about 6-7 lbs of that, but gained it back because I kept eating like I was lactating and my fitness went out the window due to baby schedules. I think it's a common weight-loss pattern for many women, but I wouldn't bank on it. And you do need to adjust your calories to reflect the fact that you aren't lactating anymore.
