I would love to try a VBAC
its been nearly 3years so could be now or nearly 4years by time a new baby might arrive so wondering if anyone else is going to try??

Providing all my health & babies health is ok i want to push for 1 as i would love to give birth naturally.

If i don't thats fine as long as baby is born healthy :)
xx

i appauld you hun

i am sh*t scared about giving birth naturally because my first was 11 6onz and he almost died because of negligence

i would love to give birth naturally but i think because i so very nearly lost my baby through the sheer stupidity of people and strangely only felt really safe once i had been taken out their hands i dont think i could put myself through that

i was an all gas and air girl and was doing fab but after 36 hours of labour it was an enevitable conclusion

if it had just been a case of non progression i would totally be up for it again but because i felt like one of those hospital blunder stories i would rather just not go there lol - tbh at 11 6 and a high likelihood of having a big baby again i dont think i am the best candidate for it anyway lol

slightly jealous though lol xkx

Im in a minority I think because giving birth naturally just scares the almighty poop outta me big time

Had 2 sections and will deffo have a 3rd

Applaud ladies that give birth the normal way, I really do

I think my problem is i got to 8cm with no help and was really excited to give birth knowing i was long off
baby was 31weeks so was scared as you would be
ended up in transverse lie & coming arm & butt 1st
so emergency section it was

i just want to know what this almighty gift feels like
weird i guess but very very exciting
x

I think about it a lot. I think if the docs give me the go ahead to try then I will. I'm hoping to get pregnant soon and hopefully my DD won't be much past 2 years when baby # 2 arrives. I can't imagine the recovery from a section with a two year old. She will still need a certain amount of picking up and what not and my OH works away and is gone half of the time.
Vikki - what was the reasoning for your first section?

Ahhh just saw your post. We must have posted at the same time!!. I mad it to 10 cm and pushed for nearly 3 hours in total. They tried forceps twice but she didn't budge. They realized after the section that she have been posterior.

awwww its a little disheartening when you make it so far isnt it :(
xx

ha ha to make you feel better mrs essex i was 1 week past my due date when one of my dh's relatives - that we no longer speak to anymore for reasons such as this - turned to me and went f**k me got a story for you (1 week past due date remember) my daughter had a 2nd degree tear with her first which didnt heal properly and then a 4th degree tear with her next, thats basically ripping right through everything dont you know, and had c section for her last and i tell you what she loved the c section

errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

:nope: :saywhat::ignore::gun::bike::dohh::shrug::nope:

I watched my god daughter be born naturally was amazing she 2 had a 2nd degree tear but still hasn't put me off lol x

I am desparate to try for a VBAC for my third....if I ever get pregnant
Not sure if my hospital will let me try though as I have had 2 c sections so higher risk. I completely understand you wanting to give birth naturally I would love to too.
Good luck and hope it happend for you :hugs:

:haha:

You couldn't pay me to give birth vaginally, seriously

As it happened I had pre eclampsia both times so was outta my control but even still was glad my foofy wasn't getting rearranged. Selfish maybe but I like feeling tight down there (tmi)

:haha:

omg thats if he can keep the camera still from the shakes of sheer "how the f f f f f feck is she doing that" lol

my dh was in charge of one thing and one thing only . . . holding my gas and air whilst i had my epidural done and you know what i laugh about it now but he fell asleep holding my gas and air mid injection dropping it full on the floor and of course thats when i was getting a horrific contraction! men lol lol lol

my mum was in charge of rubbing my back, i was having very intense back pains and contractions so to concentrate i was shaking my feet, my mum broke rank and held down my feet!!!!! when i started kicking her to get off the midwives were like she is showing signs of shock AND look shes kicking her mum! lol lol lol birth plan ladies make it bold under line it and use capitals DO NOT BREAK RANK

I would LOVE a natural birth after my c-section. My birth was horrible with my son. My waters broke on the Saturday night and they didn't induce me until Tuesday morning, was 4cm's dialated by the time I got to hospital with hardly any contractions.

They put me on a drip and from the very beginning my contractions were about 1 minute apart, then for hours they were almost on top of each other (no word of a lie) All my contractions were in my back (thank god because I can't handle stomach pain). Within about 2-3 hours I was fully dilated and began pushing. They finally realised he was back-to-back and coming out the wrong way (he was looking up instead of side-ways)

They said they were going to try forceps so I went to theatre and got a spinal and they asked me to push but I couldn't feel anything so didnt know if I was doing it or not!

Anyway, they decided to do a c-section and they ended up tearing my uterus so I lost so much blood it was dripping off the bed/table. Took ages to stitch and staple me up, and when they done it they put the staples were put in wonky (very nippy coming out)

Back in the recovery room they said that if I kept loosing blood like I was (I had a drain in my tummy) then I'd be taken back to theatre for another 'procedure' (didn't realise at the time they were talking about a hysterectomy!)

I needed a blood transfusion and took weeks to recover!!

I'm so sorry it's long but I wanted you to know why I feel so strongly about having a natural birth after the shambles that was my first birth!

I'd go through it all again tomorrow to get my son though because he is my world :cloud9:

Claire xxx

omg claire thats awful! i think you are only as safe as the hands you are in, i was with a trainee midwife and apparantly a fully trained midwife who were awful, really nice people, but awful, the team that delivered my baby then went on to save his life and for that i am eternally grateful

if i could request the same team i would they were amazing, my dh was more scared than i was i was just so excited to finally be meeting my baby lol

i hope you get the natural birth you long for ladies! xkx

Claire i really hope you get your dream of a natural birth to :)
Im a really hopefull person so i will pray daily through my pregnancy as i do strongly believe that Ty's best way to enter this world was a section but if i have no complications i really dont see why i couldnt of give birth to him
All the best
xxx

N massive good luck
:dust:

i want to attempt a VBAC, but if it doesnt happen at least i know what to expect with a section. xx
