Will anybody be trying VBAC??

hi ill explain a lil bit of my backround i had my first son with a epidural and 6 hours of labour fine i had my 2nd son 2 and a half hours totally naturally then i had my twins my first twin was 10 mins from start to finish he was born in my trousers lol then it came to my 2nd twin i lost 5 litres of blood and he was stuck in my ribs so i was put to sleep and had a emergency csection and if i manage to get pregnant again i want a natural birth again my placenta came away and i was really ill for months after because of the csec so im deffo hoping for a vbac :)

If I ever manage to get up the duff again I will be fighting tooth and claw for an HBAC after a failed HB, transfer to hospital & emergency c-section last time. Good luck to all hopeful ladies!

Did a search for VBAC threads, and thought I'd bring this one back! :)

I had an emergency C-section with my first, in 2001. I was induced, and everything was going fine, until after they broke my water and the nurse checked me. He was coming out hand first. The C-section went great, and I was up and walking around with ease!

My second baby was a VBAC in 2003 (just 19 mos after first baby), and L&D went wonderfully! I had to get stitches, but it was no big deal.

Baby number three was a C-section, just back in 2009. I was going to try for another VBAC, but I kept laboring for weeks and he wouldn't engage. He wasn't late, just wouldn't drop down, so I was scheduled three days before my due date. The C-section was HORRIBLE. They couldn't get the spinal in right and took about 5-6 tries. It was a military hospital for that birth, and they didn't listen to my requests to not have a trainee do my spinal. There's more to the story, but this isn't a birth story thread! Hehehe. ;)

I'm TTC #4, and I thought I'd have to go through another C-secion, having two already. My OB said he's behind me 100% if I want to try for a VBAC with this one. It will all depend on the size of the baby, and what happens, but I think I'll try for it. He says chance of rupturing is only 2% with me, and that's VERY low. I'd be closely monitored and have an OR waiting for me just in case. I'd love to have another VBAC!

Go for it!
I had a mergency c section with my first son my second son was stilllborn at 36weeks and I had to deliver him naturally.. It was fine! Didn't know what all the fuss was about! I did have a 3rd degree tear though! Ouch! But it healed fine!! The labour was much better than my first although the outcome was soo sad and not what we hoped for it was the best experience.... weirdly put I know :)

I was really disappointed I wasn't able to have a VBAC again. I really hope this time, with the next pregnancy, I can!
