Just a quick question, i've read that the baby doesn't grow bigger much in the last month, so bump won't be getting any bigger either..? Is that right?
Your baby will gain approximately half a pound a week until s/he is born so could gain another 3lb, so yes, baby will grow alot in the next few weeks, and bump is likely to get alot bigger
I think they grow quite a bit in the last month, my son born at 36 weeks was 5 pounds 8, my daughter born at 40 +6 was 7 pounds 6 - so im guessing my son would have ben the same if born later.
Mines grown a lot in the last few weeks. JUst when I think i cant get any more uncomfortable, it does!!! In the last week alone i seem to have grown out of the last few bits of clothing that still fitted me!
I've just seen my first stretch marks the other day because I've grown past the point of busting the past 3 weeks... with no end to the growing in sight... ugh.
I had a scan at 36+5 and baby's estimated weight was 2550g then at 39+2 Ew was 3850g so I would say they grow alot in the last month! I also feel ready to burst! X
its very uncomfortable trying to sleep now ... I seem to be getting bigger every week and not really dropped yet so even sitting back on couch feels like Im being suffocated!
You will grow a lot in the last few weeks. Your baby will be piling on fat in preparation for being born. Make sure you have a pillow to support your bump when you lie down on your side as it will be so much more comfortable.
Oh dear! I literally feel like I will explode if it gets any bigger! How can the skin stretch that much? I'm massive now, but luckily I will be off on maternity leave from 37 weeks onwards--because everybody at work stares at and comments on my big bump as it is....
My husband wanted me to work til 38 weeks 'just in case' the baby is 2 weeks late and im sitting home for 5 weeks on my own. I said 'NO WAY! Your not the one that has to carry this baby up and down the staires in your belly for 37 weeks and your not the one who will be mortified if your water breaks while your sat at your desk! hah.'
The baby dosent grow in length but grows by way of putting on fat. I dont know if my ribs can cope with any more baby weight. I've had really bad rib pain since early in second tri & it gets worse & worse every day. I keep getting told that its because i'm only little (5'4") & i sit down all day at a desk. I really cant imagine what the pain is going to feel like in 10-12 weeks time at full term or overdue. I'm going to go crazy!
