will I still get SMP after 26wks?

Hi, I have tried to research on the web but just confusing myself. I joined a recruitment agency last October and started working for a company immediately. I am still at the same placement now and in my 25th week of pregnancy.

I have informed the agency and also manager at the placement about being pregnant. The job I am doing has been advertised which I applied for alongwith 1 other person and had an interview 3wks ago.

As it stands if I was to be taken on by the company I am working for would I lose my SMP entitlement as I won't be there many weeks? If I stay with the agency next Friday is week 26 so SMP comes in to effect.

I am not sure of what my best option is.

i thought to qualify for SMP you had to be with the same employer for a certain amount of time....

you would get MA however, to get that you would need to have worked for 26 weeks during a 66 week period (you are allowed breaks, different employers). So you would get that hun. not sure about SMP tbh though. good luck. hope you get the job!

^^ I was going to say this, I was in a situation where I was temping when I was pg but as I worked full time for 26 out of the 66 I got MA. I think the amount you get is worked out acording to how long you have worked
