So looking like it's going to be a good weekend and a good cycle.

Last month's cycle was 113 days so was wondering when on earth I was going to and IF I would ovulate this cycle. I have been waiting to be referred by my dr for months now, and DH has to have SA done and my bloods done before we can finally be referred.

Anyway driving home this morning after a wedding we went to last night and I got a pain in my left ovary. Didn't do an opk yesterday as we were out all day. So by the time I got home an hour ago I was having loads of cramps in my left ovary. Done an opk and it's well positive!!! Was confused as to how come all of a sudden I seem to get strong pains when I am ovulating, like i did last cycle and did the opk cd99 to discover that I was in fact ovulating! But then of course, deerrrrrrr I was on the pill for 11 years so of course wouldn't feel me ovulating. Doh! :dohh: :dohh: :dohh: :dohh: :dohh:

So BD just now and will now twice a day for the next few days.
I temped this morning and just as I was switching it off I am sure it said 35.65 and not 36.65, but can't be sure so leaving it as 36.65 so will pay attention to temps these next few days

So a question sorry for ranting here's my question.............
Since I am ovulating circa cd24-25 it will mean I will have a 38-39 day cycle. I had my cd21 bloods done on Thursday and it will mean my cd28 bloods I'll have done this coming Thursday will show I have ovulated.

Do you think I'll still get my referral?

Hi u shud still get refered. The last time i went for treatment i was still ov but not every month. Im sure it will help wiv your treatment xx

thanks honey. I am desperate for my referral, been waiting for months so far anyway and don't want her not to send it.

Y have u been waiting months?
I went to my gp on the 8th of this month and i have my appointment to c the gyno already . not sure if its coz i was refered 10 years ago or not tho. Fxd u won't have to wait much longer xx

I don't think so. Even though you're ovulating, your cycles are obviously irregular. I would hope they'd still refer you to figure out what's going on. xx

i originally went back end of april I think as my period was late and given I had already been diagnosed with PCOS. I was told she would send my referral because it's unlikely I was ovulating and no point doing the blood tests. I should get my letter from the hospital in a couple of weeks. Then 3 weeks later I got a letter from my dr sayin that she'd looked into the referral process and I'd have to have bloods done to get referred. Grrrr. So I had to go and see her to get some drugs to start my period. Luckly I found out the week before I had ovulated finally so went in for cd1. I saw her also and she told me that the Sheffield referral works in that even if you have a problem like PCOS you still needed to have bloods done and also that DH has to have an SA done too. So he needs to change doctors, see the nurse because he has changed surgery, see my doctor to get his appointment at the hospital, have his SA done and my cd21 and cd28 bloods will be done and back and then we can get referred. We go on holiday in 2 weeks so who knows when we'll get to see here - she also only works 2 days a week!!!!
So it's becoming a long process and I reckon we'll get our appointment around xmas! :growlmad:

I've haven't had any bloods taken. Ahh i really hope u get seen really soon, there's nowt worse than waiting. XX

thanks honey. I think it all depends on your doctor and local trust, as so many others are referred much easier than me and others much harder

I had to have three sets of bloods taken before being referred to a gyno! My doctor said they normally do 3 sets of day 21 tests if showing no ovulation then they refer u as GPs cant really do much more!!

It is a long process, everything is in the UK.. rubbish i know!!
I think i was TTC for about 9 months when he did all my tests every cycle (and i have long cycles) i think by time i got through to see gyno it was May time so i prob been ttc for about 11months then!!
First gyno, they requested more blood, booked in for internal scan confirming pcos mild, then now i wont be given any mediciation until hsg scan which is October time!! So its even a more long process when u get to see gyno!! (NHS dont rush)

To top it all off, they lost my file so i have to repeat a few things as well, and oh has to repeat SA test as they lost that too!!

So by time hsg scan i been ttc for 18months by then.. before being given anything!
Crap isnt it!!
xx

that's my fear - that they lose my results

I was told i'd just need the one set to be sent for referral - all so different

I just think its NHS for u huni.. i mean my appointment from gyno after being referred was like 6 weeks away but some peoples are months away, so it depends on area and wen they can fit u in!!

x

Its great your ovulating tho? Was it just a couple of times your AF went up the wall??
xx

no. I went on the pill at 17 as my cycles were 4-10 weeks, then i came off the pill about december 05-december 06 and had some weird cycles, one was 3 months. I was then diagnosed with PCOS. Stopped pill in September and cycles were 28-34 for 5 months then, poof, it went back to how it used to

I just want to know that I am actually ovulating, and the positive opks and temp rises are real - as yet I don't believe I am

I dont even get a positive opks huni, i got pcos well told like last month my cycle are around cd40 to cd60.. crap i know!!
I was on bc since 15 till Sept last year came off to TTC and no a sniff of a BFP since!! On my 9th cycle this time.. x

so begs the question again - why did we bother with BCP?

No idea huni, i didnt think i had it i dont think back then!! I mean i started my periods when i was about 14 they were painful, heavy and irregular so doctors suggested the BC and been on it ever since, until i wanted to ttc..

I not even sure if i ovulate to be honest, or if i do its not every cycle thats for sure!!
Just feel like im not getting anywhere!!
xx

totally feel the same as you honey. Yes my last two cycles I have eventually ovulated according to the opks and my temps, but this is PCOS we're talking about and she's a bitch, you never know what's going on

Just glad I started temping and moaning to the doctor before the year mark was up as it's taking forever now. Surely it's not that difficult... but apparently it is

I am up and down in feelings like a yo yo - you feel it too? x
