According to my calculations im 42 weeks on Easter Monday... My local hospital usually leaves you 12 days which means it will be Saturday between good Friday and Easter Sunday...

Will they really induce me Easter weekend.. As i'm sure they will be short staffed?

What's the early-est they will induce you?

My midwife is horrible and to be honest complete crap at her job, for eg last time i saw her she told me my BOY sounded like a girl according to HIS heart rate, forgot to measure him, and forgot to check my wee, was also to busy worrying about her lunch to talk about what happens after 40 weeks...

xx

qiuet possibly yes, im not too sure tho, they may start you off earlier.x

Sorry to butt in but I'm fairly sure they will have just as many staff as any other weekend hun, if you work in a hospital/healthcare etc you don't usually get time like Easter off automatically. I'm sure they'll do whatever is best for you baby, whether that's earlier or at 12 days if that's their policy. x

they will do it whenever they fit you in as soon as youre overdue. bank holidays, christmas etc make no difference in the world of healthcare.

Yep, my friend had her c-section on Xmas day so I don't think it makes a difference.. if something needs doing it will happen whatever the date...

Yes they will, my youngest was born a few days before Easter in 09 and they said if i had have been induced it would have been on Good Friday.

The NHS never closes.

oh that makes me feel so much better thanks :D xxx

Thanks for starting this thread Stomp. My area let you go 12 days over too which would mean I'd be induced on Easter Sunday & I was wondering the same. Don't think I can face being left longer than that I'd nothing has happened! I'm not seeing my MW again til 40+2 (if I'm still preggo but I'm convinced I will be!) when she said I can have a sweep if I want. I didn't like to ask about induction at 38w check but it's been playing on my mind since I realised what day it would be. So come on baby, get moving! x

Im sure they will do it when yoru baby is ready

good luck with your midwife seems liek you are not to keen with her

My midwife said they have the same amount of staff all day every day of the year. Times/dates dont make a difference xx
