I love the name Silas but then again im a huge Silas Weir Mitchell fan! i don't know any personally either so who knows if it could blow up! His Character in Grimm is very popular at the minute so it my blow up with "cult followings" but who's to say! it's a nice name i'd have it but it doesnt go with our surname!!

Me too, but only on the internet. When I saw your nursery room photos I was surprised to "see" the name spelled out in someone else's room lol. We have been calling this little guy Silas for quite some time now!

I named my son Cian (key-an)

Now there are loads of them his age!

Silas is on the top of our list, too. A lot of my favorites are influenced by pop culture or books I've read, and Silas was on Weeds and on Grimm. I still say go for it!

Don't forget it is about to blow up even more... i watch the vampire as they air in the states, so i'm not sure if it has got to it here yet.. BUT their is going to be a main character in that called Silas. Of course the vampire diaries are very popular (not everyone's cup of tea but still popular lol) So it might become really popular yet, like i say i have been seeing it EVERYWHERE.
With all that said if it is a name you like then stuff it, i do wonder how much these things affect us though without us noticing.... like picking a popular name without realising it's popular ? iykwim ? x

I love the name Silas, it was actually on my top list of boy names before I found out I was having a girl. Not sure if that means it will blow up though.

Ohhh I forgot about Vampire Diaries Silas.... that's no good. That means every 16 year old in the world right now has it on their list. lol Just like all the Jacobs that were recently born (from Twilight).
