So nervous have a scan this afternoon, to check the progress of my babies blocked bladder.
It always makes it so hard to enjoy my scans when you can see a huge bladder on the baby and the doctors measuring all his organs to make sure they aren't being affected.
I know that hes strong like his mumma and pappa because he kicks and punches me daily and likes to move a lot. Just praying there has been some progress, as I have already been through so much and don't want me or baby to have to be operated on to fix it. I have another scan with a specialist in two weeks and she is going to explain the operation to me, so it looks likely. Hopefully i'll finally have some really positive news. xxxx

oh good luck honey. can i just be a cheeky cow and ask how they new LO bladder was blocked????

Of course you can. When i went in for my scan at around 11 weeks they noticed that the bladder was a lot larger and clearer on the screen than it should be, when they measured it they realised something was wrong as it was so big. On the screen you can see the baby and then a big black hole in the middle of the baby, so it was clear something was wrong. I had an amnio to rule out any genetic disorder, (but baby is perfectly healthy in every other way)
I have had scans every 3 weeks since. And each time the bladder has got much bigger than it should be, at the last scan 3 weeks ago they zoomed in on his penis and found a tiny blockage at the end of his uretha, I'm just hoping the pressure would have got so much it may have pushed the blockage out, xx

oooooohhhhh i hope so too. poor little britches. im sure he will be fine. i know you said before that you would like it to correct its self and rather it if they didnt do any op on him. and i hope that it does correct its self. but im sure if it doesnt its not actually his bladder thats blocked( if im understanding right) so it wouldnt be too nasty of a op. good luck ant way and i hope all is well keep us posted.:hugs:
