Ok so last night after I had a shower I noticed tiny little 'water' droplets on my nipples. I wiped it away and they appeared again after a few seconds. so I squeezed slightly and lo and behold more water like droplets were expressed and a tiny drop of white 'milk'??

I am 24 Weeks tomorrow. Ftm so not sure if this should be happening at this time?

Hi ya Tesh

This happened to me with my son Riley & only in the shower lol so the heat must bring it on! Is it milky yellow, its the colostrum - think thats how its spelt? :) weird ad it may sound but every shower i had after that i had a lil squeeze lol & more of it! All good signs

You'll have no probs breastfeeding, my cousin couldnt bf & she never had this happen to her!

Xx

Congrats on team blue aswell :) i remember you from the ttc section hehe x

Hi Clairybell!

Haha I do remember u too! Congrats on your bfp!!!:happydance:

Thank u! Really excited To be team blue 💙 Will u be finding out the gender this time around?

The colour of the milk was white yesterday! Mixed with clear watery stuff lol TMI. It wasn't yellow.. But maybe if it makes an appearance again, which I'm sure it will as my boobs feel gigantic, it might be!

Glad To hear that it's normal- and have been concerned about whether or not I will be able To breastfeed, as I really really want To. Happy my body is cooperating for a change! Hehe

Ah thankyou hun :hugs:

Oh most def be finding out, 15th March is scan day arhhhhh hurry up already Lol!

Yes, i was quite shocked to see milky squirts (lol) coming from ones boobs so early on but i think its great signs that your bod is gearing up for that first feed, you'll have no probs there i think

Boys are generally good feeders aswell, Riley was a little milk monster ha ha! Whens your due date? Mine was brought forward by 4 days so im now 30th July, 2 kiddies birthday in july now, wasnt planned too well ha ha X

Completely normal but I don't think anything can prove it'll help with breastfeeding as it could just be a weird thing but I have a condition that makes me have colostrum (white/clear) ever since my first loss (5 weeks).
I really hope it means I'll be able to breastfeed but I also know it might be unrelated

It's normal & a good sign, however with my first I leaked (and with this one) from about 26 weeks, to the point my top would get wet & I needed breast pads. I stopped leaking as much about 38 weeks and never got any more milk, nothing after birth, no engorged breasts nothing. I did have a traumatic labour & emergency section - whether this caused it i couldn't say. So although it's great you are producing, it's not 100%, but I'll also say it is uncommon that women don't ever produce anything, so it'll likely be just fine for you!

It's normal to leak. With my first I leaked around 30 weeks and then continued to leak even more later on. I woke with a wet shirt many times and also started using breastpads.

This time I am breastfeeding (twice a day) and have a small milk supply. My son actually told me that I have more milk now and that it is different... But he seems to like it. I actually have to make sure he does not nurse too much now as the contractions from it can be annoying plys my nipples are sore with a slight nursing aversion.

Upside is I am never uncomfortably full and they haven't grown all that much this time :)

Possible TMI but orgasm/nipple stimulation can make you leak more, too.

This happened to me around 22 weeks give or take a week it's nothing to worry about I just has to wear breast pads so my bras didn't get wet

Wait till you've had a couple of babies, I've been leaking since 7 weeks! It's nuts. Totally normal though and makes you realise how interesting your body is and all the hormones at work.
