They also seem to think it's okay for a woman to be raped by her husband .. because he has needs ..

EWhile I don't agree with this it is their countrt and their culture so it'd their rules.
I couldn't read the article but surely this wiman knew the consequences of her actions.
If we stopped sticking our noses in where its not wanted I'm sure we wouldn't have so many enemies.
There is something every day in the newdpapers moaning that someone got told off or something got banned through fear of offending the Muslim community and its always a moan yet it seems ok for us to tell another country what is right and wrong.
surely by staying silent their views and discrimination are never challenged.
The Iranian Embassy in London today denied reports by media and human rights groups that a convicted adulterer would face death by stoning for her crime.

Would they admit it though? No country wants to let the world know that they are stoning a woman to death based on a trial of personal feelings instead of evidence.

But its their country its nothing to do with usI agree with Kala that if we learned to keep our mouths shut we wouldnt have as many enemies. Its not our place. We dont run that country and thus have no say its as simple as that. We can shake our heads, and while it would turn most of our stomachs its how its done in some countries. Who are we to get holier than though about this when our country is in a bad enough state! In their culture adultery is a crime. While I disagree, I still dont think we should get involved. Where will it stop?
I read that the womans hands are tied, body put in a 'bag' and buried in ground up to the neck.

I meant, would Iranians actually admit to this going on in their country? Especially since the system of trial they used was far from fair.
We got asked for help, so we are following a request. I don't really see anything wrong what that. It's not like we just charged in and put our foot down on the matter. If it had came to light that someone had put their life on the line to request our help on a human rights matter and we ignored it, people would be wondering why and demanding we do something. It's a catch 22 for the government and by bringing it to the attention of the UN they are effectively taking it out of our governments hands and letting a multitude of people deal with it, not just one country.
