Women forced off a bus for breastfeeding her baby - Turns out she lied! see post 6

 That woman's insane....
Think i'd have bloody gone to the police if someone had done that to me...pffft

I know im in the wrong forum but have been following this
That poor poor bus driver!!! That lady needs her head checked!

You're more than welcome to read and comment though.

It is very odd. I do feel that as a country we need to do more to support breastfeeding mums and babies but this woman hasn't done them any favours with this lie, those awful comments on the story proved that.

However there's been another woman in the Daily Mail today who was attacked by a MIND charity shop manager with a can of air freshener when she breastfed her baby in one of the shop cubicles.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...ted-breast-feeding-charity-shop.html#comments

She was trying things on when her baby started to cry so she started to feed it and the manager was peering in at her through the curtain, sprayed her with air freshener and shouted "your breastmilk stinks" or something.

I think he's lucky she went to the papers and not the police. I'm sure they would want a word with him for being a peeping Tom and for squirting a mum and baby with an aerosol.

It's crazy but the area manager was there at the time and she backed him up.

I think Scotland have the right idea in this, it should be illegal to prevent a mum feeding her baby wherever she may be and by whatever method and he should be locked up for attacking her like that.

OMG!!!! What a sick weirdo!!! It's going to put a lot of people off of buying from MIND shops, which is sad, since it is a worthy charity.

I agree, we have always supported them where we can, in particular I buy a lot of books from the one near us and always put the change in their collection box. And we donate a lot of things to the shop too.

If it had just been the manager of that shop it would have been bad enough but when I read that the area manager had backed him up after seeing him do it I decided not to support them any more.

It's sad but since one of the aims of that charity is to raise awareness and encourage tolerance I think it's hypocritical of them to be so untolerant of a breastfeeding mum. If the area manager had apologised to her it would have been better but to stand by such appalling treatment, I just can't support that anymore.

Y'know the sickest thing about this woman... she was all over the thisisbristol (newspaper) website posting her side and replies to the comments which other readers had posted. At the time I thought she was just sticking up for herself... but with CCTV to defend the poor driver... it really makes her an uberweirdo

Oh no, i can't believe she made it up!

Sounds like she has some issues that need addressing, especially in light of the fact that she is maintaining her story is true despite cctv evidence to the contrary, and the fact she has a young baby...kind of worrying don't you think?!

I read she was suffering from PND and really believed the incident happened? Sad either way.

Sounds like she's convinced herself it really is true - as above, possible pnd?

I bet the driver didn't get the bunch of flowers that the woman got though.. I thought it dreadful that the story had happened but even more so that she made it up - what on earth was she trying to gain in the first place and why do it?

As for the guy with the air freshener, that really is dreadful.. And in any case, breastmilk doesn't smell??
