So it turns out if u hav had chicken pox & shingles. It doesn't matter!! I had the bloods done nearly 3weeks ago to make sure I was immune. Well turns out I had chicken pox virus at that very point!! :'( I was sick a week later & since my dd never got any spots thought I was out of the woods! Nope :'( panicking as I won't no wat damage cud hav been done now til 20week scan. Since "bcoz" I hav had them b4.. blah blah blah! That baby wud b fine. Won't in the jab! That shud hav been given wiv in 72hrs of coming into contact wiv the virus... so now there is nothing I can do but wait & worry about my baby :'(

Ok - try to relax.

Yes it is scary to think you had chicken pox while pregnant but statistically the risks that your baby will be affected are still tiny - 1-2 percent. I know that's not zero but it's still very low. You can check out this advice here:

I looked into this in some detail as I was exposed when my nephew (age 9) had chicken pox for the second time!!! His brother had CP and the parents kept him at home, thinking the older two would be immune as they'd had it a couple of years before. I discussed it with my midwife and GP who both said not to panic xx

Thanks, I hav just read some pretty scary things about the problems it can casue
I just can't believe u hav to hav a blood test first & not given the jab.. as that needs to b give wiv on 3days.. bloods took nearly 3weeks to get to confirm it. Now I can't hav it coz the window gap is gone..
Just praying all is ok. I was told since I had chicken pox b4 as a kid & shingles as a teen. That I wud defo b immune. So now i'm not

Try not to worry, i'm sure if it was very dangerous they would automatically test every pregnant woman to see if they are immune. Honestly hun, please don't worry, i'm sure its fine. x

Can't help but worry it is very dangerous. To an unborn baby. Can cause all sorts of problems. Won't no if their has been any damage til 20week scan. Hoping as I was over 9 weeks all is ok x
