Woohoo! We are off the nipple shield!

I am soooooooo thrilled! After I long struggle with LO being tongue-tied, not latching on, and 4 weeks of a nipple shield we are finally totally weaned off of it! She hasn't needed it for 2 whole days now.

Well done! You must be delighted! We used a nipple shield for the first couple of weeks and it was a great help. I know how hard it is to stop using it - Lucy struggled to latch on and it took a lot of work to feed without it.

Thanks everyone! It was so frustrating to ween her off of it. I bet it took a good week or two. I wanted to give up lots of times so it pays to be persistent.
