words kinda?

soo I've posted about quin not saying any words yet other then once he said my momma and bathta but only once!
well yesterday I was saying what sound does a car make? and then I would goo vroom vroom! then quin was like vrrrooo vrrooo and i was like then later in the day i was trying to show my mom and he wouldn't soo i went on to "what sound does a dog make? ruff ruff ruff" and he went rrrrr rrrrrf then later my mom said I love you and he said love ou but he hasnt said it again!!
then today he was pointing to a door and my roommate said "DOOR" and hee was like "dddorr"
but never again!!
do any of these count as words? or is he getting better at copying us? he has yet to say a word more then once!

I'm gonna be a great big party pooper and say I don't think it counts cos it sounds like he's just mimicking atm. I don't count Noah's words til I know he knows what they mean, so I still don't count mama or dada cos I'm not sure he knows what they mean!! xx

I'm the same as you - I don't want to count a word until I'm sure she means it!
She can definitely say 'car' and 'cat' now, but I still think everything else is just copying. *sigh*

I would say it sort of counts.
Counts as a word even though he might not understand the meaning yet.
Aliyah says 'mama' all the time now.Not quite sure if she knows im her mama though. She does say it and crawl to me,put her arms up for me to pick her up etc but still not certain!
