Working Tax Credits?

I was wondering if you can help me. I phoned up on Wednesday to put in a change of circumstances to our Child Tax Credits. OH starts working from the 8th and the women on the phone said the Working Tax Credits will be set up on the 8th as it can't be done before hand.

We get Child Tax Credits weekly on a Tuesday, I've been told I'll get Working Tax Credits on top of that. My question is will we get our first payment of Working Tax Credits on the 9th or the following week on the 16th? If we get it on the 16th will it be a single or double payment?

I would probably budget for the 16th (or possibly 23rd knowing tax credits!) it should be back dated to the 8th though x

It's paid in arrears so definitely wouldn't be the 9th

I think my OH's first WTC payment was like 4 weeks after he was first due for it, so if he started claiming on the first of the month, it was paid in on the 28th or something like that, if I remember correctly xx

Just thought I would ask as my Stepmum told me it would be up & running by tomorrow and we would get our first payment then as we chose to have it paid weekly but I thought that would be very unlikely lol
