Working Tax Credits?

Hi ladies, was wondering if anyone can help me..i was talking to someone today and they asked me if i've applied for WTC..i was like huh? I only thought it was for single parents who work? Just goes to show how much i know
How much on a joint income have you got to be earning to get them? My OH used to be self imployed but work dried up so he now works for a company. I'm currently on Maternity leave as our little boy is due in decemeber.. Me and My other half are moving in together next week so we are trying to see what help we can get as we already know we can't get any help with housing benefit etc.
Sorry if this doesn't make much sense..I only found out about this today so i'm a bit confused! Thanks in advance xxxx

I also didnt know half the crap I could get. There is a really good website called turn2us which will give you a rough estimate of what you can get, It was like £2 out for me though but I think thats due to all the changes. Hope this helps xx
