I'm going back to work in about a month and its so hard!
But... I'm working and saving up so that after our 2nd (and last) LO comes I can stay home.
Is anyone else also doing this?
I still feel guilty for using daycare and I just don't know how to cope for the next two years to come...

Anyone? :)

That is great you are being proactive and working towards what you want. I work full time- and honestly, it works best for me. I like my job- I worked hard to get where I am- and we also need my income. So I plan to continue work... but if you want to stay home, just do what you need to do now- so that you have that option at some point :)

You'll find a way to cope for now hun-- just take things each day, and appreciate all the moments you do have with LO. Even if I don't see my LO as much as I'd like all the time- I appreciate every single moment we do have. I make the most of it- even just sitting and playing together... it's amazing how quickly it all goes by. But it also get's easier the older they get as they are more independent and capable and it's also so much fun...

I hope your able to be a SAHM sooner than planned- but great you have a plan :)

Thanks for your comment :) It does make it easier to to back since I have a job I love but I'm still gonna miss that little face!!

I think this is what I will end up doing... I'll be taking maternity leave after my first LO is born in February. After my maternity leave ends, I think I will have to go back for some time (hopefully only one year) at which point we plan to have another LO.

After our second LO is born I'm hoping to not to have to go back to work. I plan to open a home daycare!

Good luck going back, I'm sure it'll be hard but it's for a good reason! Hopefully we can both save lots and will be able to make our SAHM dreams come true :)

I mentioned a home daycare and DH is actually growing more into that idea... We can do it!

How far along are you?

I am in the same situation as you however really struggling to save. I am just about to go back to work part time after having my first LO and OH and I are discussing having another in the not so distant future as we are nearly mid 30s and my parents had me older so want them to enjoy their grandchildren while still young and able to. I know we wouldn't be able to afford childcare for two anyway so if I could just get a home business started and that with any savings we do manage, I can hopefully be a SAHM.

Home daycare sounds like a great idea, I think you should definitely go for it, what have you got to lose? I am planning to start a cake business to allow me to be a SAHM and still work.

All the best, I am sure you will manage it as there is no reason why you can't. Just do what's best for you and your family.

Yes... childcare is crazy expensive. If we had two in daycare it would cost half my salary and I just dont think its worth it! And we have some seriously cheap childcare compared to other people that I work with. I just couldnt see myself working for daycare and some money on the side
