Last night I woke up and my stomach was killing me, I had a stomach ache and was cramping so I went to the bathroom. It hurt to walk or even move.

It lasted like an hour and it was a sharp cramplike pain that was really really low. I was up for two hours because I couldn't get comfortable.

The cramping stabbing pain was so bad I didn't want to move, should I call my doctor? I'm better now but I am still worried.

Anyone have any idea what this was?

Call your doctor hun.

It's better to be safe, hope you're okay.

i think you should call your doctor just incase it was anything to worry about

Do you have an appointment anytime soon?

Seeing as it left, it may have been a Braxton Hick. If it comes back, lay on your left side and drink a ton of water. If it doesn't leave quickly from that call the emergency room.

Unless you get bleeding or more cramping that wont leave with laying and drinking, I wouldn't call...but that's me.

My next appointment isn't for another 2 weeks.
And I thought braxton hicks aren't usually that painful, just tightness?

I thought so as well but when I have period like cramps a couple days ago I asked my mother about them, shes an L&D nurse, and she said they very well could be Braxton Hicks.

Okay, thanks. Maybe I'll do some research on it a little bit and see if anything catches my eye and if it happens again then I will call.

Either way I will be telling my doctor about it at my next appointment.

I'm hoping everything is okay, I felt a little better when the baby started kicking at it's usual time this morning. Thank you very much!

Oh I'm glad your feeling baby, hon! :hugs:

If that's the case I'd assume everything is okay and it was just a BH or a really bad ligament pain or something.

If it happens again and won't leave, or if you get any bleeding definitely head over to the ER. Otherwise, I think mentioning it to your doctor at your appointment should be enough as long as everything is a-okay until then!

Wow hon id call your doctor now. It could be braxton hicks or it could be more n you wouldnt wnat to possibly leave it because of advice on the internet you know? you can have bouts of preterm labour tjat come and go. simce it was painful, youd be way safer ringing your doc. its probably fine but...better safe iykwim? your babys too precious!

Regardless hun I would call your doctor.

It may well be nothing but I had no pain when I went for a routine check-up and ended up being in hospital for over a week and them having to stop preterm labour, and I didn't feel a thing!
:hugs:

Okay, I will call as soon as I can and leave a message. Thanks girlies.

I called my doctor and he said it's normal. It's just my muscles, ligaments and tendons stretching because I was under weight before I got pregnant.

He said it will probably get worse too; my response..."oh joy" LOL

Thank you girlies so much. I don't know what I would do without you and this website now, it makes everything so much easier...and it's so addicting.

I love you all, hope your pregnancies are going good???? :hugs:

I'm glad you're okay, Kayla! :hugs:
I hate when our babies scare us like this :nope:

nice to have peace of mind :hugs:
i had this to.. and they said it was because i was so small to begin with... so i need to stretch more i guess :haha: glad you and baby are ok :flower:
