hi i had my baby on sat and i'm breastfeeding and they say a sign that she is getting enough milk is regular wet/dirty nappies but my baby hasn't had a dirty/wet nappy since last night and i'm worried that there is something wrong but she is really lively and responsive and is feeding normal and often as anyone else ever had this happen?

Not sure hun. Maybe wait and see a bit more and if nothing call your doctor? I wouldn't want to give you the wrong advice and have something bad happen. :( Normally whenever I'm unsure about something.

Has she had her meconium stool yet?

I've never BF, but would guess that your milk just hasn't come in yet. As long as she is acting fine, I wouldn't worry about it. Your milk should come in pretty fast as long as she is "eating" often. :D

Hi,
I had a similar problem with Thomas the day I took him home. He was on and off me all the time and we had no wet nappies for a good few hours. I ended up getting some formula (it was a sunday night, and no where was open!) and then we started on formula. When he was weighed a few days later, he had hardly lost any weight so the MW said he must have been feeding fine when I was doubting it! But if you are not sure then call the MW or the hospital and ask their advice.

ditto to what coltons mom said.... Just watch to make sure you are getting lots of wet diapers. If you arn't, or if they decrease then she may be getting dehydrated. If she is dehydrated her skin will be dry and she will get lethargic etc... you will know.

Mine had hardly any wet diapers for the first 3-4 days and I was BFing. If she's acting fine then she most likely is fine. It is also normal for some babies to only have a poopy diaper once a day or once every other day.

Watch her close over the next few days as your milk really starts coming in and she starts eating more. If you see her getting lethargic defo call the doctor. Call the doctor anyways if you just want some peace of mind - that's part of their job.
