My breasts have had huge blue veins all over them since about 5 weeks pregnant, but yesterday evening they seem to have faded and this morning there are hardly any veins there to be seen at all. The difference is quite dramatic and Im worried this means something is wrong.

Does anyone have any advice or had this happen?

Gosh i dont know, it could be just a change in circulation?! But i wouldnt have a clue to be honest....
Can you ring your community midwife and ask her? She will most likely put your mind at rest.
I feel your anxiety though, i have had a sharp pain in my abdomen this morning, when i cough (i have a cold) i am also thinking of ringing up!!!

Symptoms in pregnancy come and go. Its not usually a sign something is wrong. If all else seems fine (no cramping/blood) then I really wouldn't worry.
My boobs grew two whole cup sizes in the first few weeks and were really painful, they're now at a steady size and not at all sore. Apparently, they will balloon again in the 8th month. Totally normal. Its all about hormones and the second trimester is meant to be the nicest (in terms of symptoms, hormones, etc)

Try not to over analyse every change in ur body - things take its natural course and more often than not, people go on to have perfectly healthy babies :)

Could be ligament pain due to stretching, but if ur worried, call ur midwife or doctor. Pregnancy is generally a whole world of worry. My worry is that my tummy feel softer than a few days ago (since the other night where i woke with stomach ache (doc said this was ligament pain and baby taking advantage of all the space it can take up atm) lol

I didnt have this but i did find that a lot of my early pregnancy symptoms went around 15/16 weeks - the nausea and vomiting and the extreme tiredness - I wonder if there's a bit of a shift around this time perhaps? I'd phone the midwife though to put your mind at rest as there's nothing like hearing reassuring words from the experts to make you feel better! x

Ps actually, although I've not had the blue veins, my boob swelling and tenderness also stopped at some point early second tri but I'm not sure when - they feel normal now (just bigger, lol) xx

Unfortunately I dont have a number for my Midwife as she doesnt give it out until you are further along. I am more worried as when I miscarried before the veins in my breasts dissapeared. I dont want to panic without cause but its hard not to.

I'm sure it's nothing, as someone said the symptoms come and go, especially after 12 weeks when the placenta takes over. If you're at all worried though about anything in your pregnancy, the best thing to do is speak to your midwife. Everyone who's gone through pregnancy have had these types of worry so your midwife should be able to help you. :flower: xxx

If you don't have her number, phone the hospital and a midwife there will be able to help xxx

Hi I also had really dramatic blue veins appear earlier in pregnancy and sometimes they are more obvious than others I know its hard with a previous mc but try not to worry do you have orher preg symptoms? X

I agree with clairemuir about calling the hospital to get the midwife number so that you can get some reassurance - they will be very sympathetic if you have had a miscarriage previously and they do understand how much we all worry - I had a major panic and sleepless night a few days back because I'd decided the baby wasn't moving any more - in fact when I calmed down in the morning I realised the baby actually was moving but just little faint movements that I was panicking so much I was ignoring... 20 week scan then showed very healthy bub.

We can't help freaking out when we find something to worry about, but I think from what I've read and from what everyone seems to be saying that it's normal for the early symptoms to go in second tri. I actually think it is the hardest time of all, between the disappearance of first tri symptoms and the time when you start to feel regular movements, cos there's just nothing to go on anymore symptomwise to reassure you. I'm sure you'll be ok, hang in there xxx

Yes i agree, with your history just ring them and see someone.
Or ring your GP, they will have a midwife there on duty (they should do anyway)
If nothing else then to put your mind at rest.
Go do it now..
